Mr. Torres was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Luis Torres is the first within his family to further his education at Alfred University, where he majored in Biology and obtained a B.A. in Biology from Alfred University. During the summers of 2013-2016, Mr. Torres has worked with New Country Day Camp, a non-profit organization, in which he was responsible in creating and executing Science & Technology lessons and activities for campers to enjoy. Mr. Torres has also worked as a teaching artist for The 92nd Street Y located in the Upper East Side section of Manhattan. Mr. Torres was responsible for teaching robotics to elementary school students within the New York City Department of Education and had the pleasure to share his expertise in Botany and Horticulture for 14 Street Y, located in the Lower East Side, Manhattan. In the Spring of 2017, Mr. Torres was accepted into the New York City Teaching Fellows program and is currently teaching Living Environment and Global Warming.
